Ashley River Baptist Church F.A.N. Club

“And let our people also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, that they may not be unfruitful.”  Titus 3:14

Find A Need, Fulfill A Need… an update on our FAN ministry

With the temperature rising it is a perfect time to break out the F.A.N. We are excited to announce that Kathy Ebner has agreed to serve as coordinator for F.A.N. F.A.N. stands for "Finding A Need/Fulfilling A Need" and is a ministry program of ARBC in which everyone can participate. Simply stated, you discover a need anywhere and submit it to Kathy on a F.A.N. form and she will make the need known to all of our F.A.N. participants through email. Participants will help locate means to fulfill the need and when they are found, she will notify everyone seeking help in delivery, etc. It is a great program and it is only going to get better under Kathy's leadership. Please make sure you are on the F.A.N. mailing list. If in doubt call the church office at 766-5521. We will share more later, but for now start finding those needs and be ready to be used to fulfill those needs to the glory of our Lord!

Project Prayer Team

Come pray over a specific missions opportunity here at ARBC.  Currently our MP3 and Disaster Relief Teams are helping to restore a home in a nearby neighborhood. As they work, the team has requested that each worker has a prayer partner to pray for them: their safety, their witness, and the work they are doing. Additionally, the team would like to take the opportunity to prayer walk in the community, ministering to the entire community where the work is taking place. To become part of the prayer team for this project, please contact Wendy Taylor at 647-9982 or at wendytaylor@tangerinemoons.com.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:25

What time is it? 10:25

What time is it? Time to Worship

MP3

If you haven’t filled out a missions team sign up card (the one that looks like an iPod) then now is the time. Wendy Taylor needs to hear from you about how you can help ARBC fulfill Jesus’ directive to “Go to all the world.”

Grow University

Wednesday Nights at Ashley River

Something for everyone from the newborn baby on up. Come see what we have for you on Wednesday nights at Ashley River.

Donate Your Instruments

The Orchestra would love to adopt any instruments you have sitting around. We are specifically in need of a flute and a trombone, but if you have an instrument you no longer need or play, we’ll gladly give it a home. We are certain that God will send the musicians for any instruments that might be donated. Contact Rev. H.S. Yarborough for more information or to drop off your instrument.

Ministering to Families

You may not know that we have a faithful group of women who serve at the Ronald McDonald House on the second Thursday of every month. They cook a delicious meal in the Ronald McDonald kitchen to feed families of children who are being treated at MUSC. This group of quietly dedicated ladies needs your help. They need someone to do the grocery shopping for their meal. The grocery list is written, the money has been collected, but they need a volunteer or a small group who would be willing to grocery shop one Thursday a month and deliver the groceries to the Ronald McDonald house at 2:30pm so that supper can be prepared. If you can help, please call Mary Blitch.

 Help at Crisis Ministries Shelters

Crisis Ministries serves food and offers other services to people who are in desperate physical need. Our church has the opportunity monthly to purchase and prepare a meal for the different areas of Crisis Ministries. On "odd-numbered" months, Bruce Hood leads a team to cook and serve supper at the Men's Shelter. On "even-numbered" months, Donnie Webb leads a team to cook and serve dinner at the Family Shelter for women and children. You may call the church office at 766-5521 for more information on how you can help.

Update Your Contact Information

Even if you’ve given your information in the past, please take a few moments to give us the information again, so that we can make sure to have it correct for future reference!

We promise:

not to junk up your e-mail box with SPAM.
